Gabriel Peter Hughes is a singer and a songwriter, a presenter and a performer, an author and an artist. His piano-driven original songs are likened to "living room ballads" -- a blend of praise and indie. Underlined by his faith, Gabriel's concerts are uplifting and inspiring, containing stories that are both humorous and touching. His heart for ministry has lead Gabriel to give most of his music and concerts for free, reaching out to others with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
Gabriel is currently the worship leader at Turning Point Church in Junction City, KS, and a dj with KJIL in Abilene. Through these avenues, Gabriel has had the opportunity to open in concert for some of the biggest names in Christian music: Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, MercyMe, Audio Adrenaline, Mark Schultz, Laura Story, Point of Grace, Nicole C. Mullen, and many others. He's also lead music for speakers like Josh McDowell, Dr. Tom Blackaby, Milton Creagh, and Joe White, and has toured with Ryan Dobson and commedian Ken Davis. He's emceed concerts for TobyMac, Third Day, Newsboys, Jeremy Camp, Relient K, Thousand Foot Krutch, Hawk Nelson, BarlowGirl, and more.
Gabriel is a two-time Kansas Association of Broadcastors Radio Personality of the Year (2005 and 2007, and runner-up in 2008 and 2009). Musically, he's won competitions with Embassy Music and the Gospel Music Association. His voice is heard on radio and television across the country, whether he's speaking or singing. His music videos have been seen tens of thousands of times on YouTube, Tangle, MySpace, and other places on the web.
Industry professionals such as Rush Concerts promotor Cliff Reiser, Embassy Music President Darwin Moody, Rebecca St. James manager David Smallbone, and even Audio Adrenaline members Mark Stewart and Will McGinniss have all commended Gabriel for his stage presence and his ability to relate to an audience of any age.
He's been in front of audiences as large as 10,000 under bright lights and elaborate stage set-ups. But his favorite, he says, is to step into a community church, sit down at the piano, and share with the people there. He offers a quality concert setting for as little as a love offering. You will truly be blessed by this ministry. Inquire further as to how you can bring Gabriel to your town!
